Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
InvoiceWiz is built privacy-first. Your bank statements, invoices and matches are processed on your own machine and are not uploaded to us. This policy explains the limited personal data we do handle, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
InvoiceWiz is operated by InvoiceWiz B.V. (placeholder pending incorporation details), established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For the personal data described here, we act as the data controller.
Contact for privacy matters: [email protected].
2. Privacy by design: your financial data stays on your device
The core of the product runs locally. When InvoiceWiz collects, matches and verifies invoices against your charges, that processing happens on your own machine. We do not receive, store or have access to your bank transactions, invoices, receipts or the reconciled package you export.
Because of this, most of what follows concerns only the small amount of contact data you deliberately give us (for example, joining the waitlist).
3. What we collect
Data you give us
- Waitlist: your email address.
- Roundtable signup: your name, email address, and optionally your company and role, plus your attendance preference (in person or virtual).
- Correspondence: anything you send us by email.
Data collected automatically
- Server logs: our hosting provider processes standard technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) to serve and secure the site.
- Preferences: your theme choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). It is not a tracking cookie and never leaves your device.
4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To manage the waitlist and roundtable and contact you about beta access or the event — lawful basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- To operate and secure the website — lawful basis: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in running a safe, functioning service.
- To comply with legal obligations where they apply — Art. 6(1)(c).
5. Who we share it with (processors)
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:
- Salesforce — customer relationship management, to store and manage waitlist and roundtable signups.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery and security.
We do not sell your personal data. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and roundtable data only as long as needed for those purposes, and then delete it, unless we are required to keep it longer by law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
7. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to: access your data; correct it; erase it; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected].
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or your local EU data protection authority.
8. Cookies and tracking
The site aims to run without advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use only what is necessary to make the site work and to remember your theme preference locally. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited personal data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but keeping financial processing on your device removes the largest risk by design.
10. Children
InvoiceWiz is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and our practices evolve. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
